James Everett Logan, age 87, of Bedford, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at Norton King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison, Indiana. He was born September 30, 1937 in Eminence, Kentucky, the son of James Harlan and Edith (Morgan) Logan.
Mr. Logan was a 1957 graduate of Trimble County High School and retired as a heavy equipment operator for Brandeis Equipment. He was also a farmer. He was a member of Sulphur United Methodist Church but attended Poplar Ridge Baptist Church in Bedford.
He was a man of many talents and enjoyed watching Western movies on the television.
His surviving family includes his wife, the former Jo Ann Heaton, to whom he was married on March 25, 1961; one son and daughter-in-law, Lorne and Lesa Logan of Bedford; one sister, Patty Campbell of Bedford; one granddaughter, Allie Logan and her companion, Jennifer King of Bedford; and two great grandchildren: Dawson Eldridge and Madison Snow, both of Bedford.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one granddaughter, Samantha Eldridge.
The Reverend Paul Lamato and Reverend Gregg Fisher will conduct the funeral services.
