Janice Layne Wright, age 78, of Carrollton, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Signature Healthcare of Carrollton. She was born December 16, 1946 in Carrollton, the daughter of Henry Lester and Lois Mae (Taylor) Wright.
Janice was a proud 1964 graduate of Trimble County High School in Bedford, Kentucky, and retired as an assembler with the Kawneer Company in Carrollton. She was a member of Cove Hill Baptist Church in Carrollton, loved her animals, and will be remembered for her quiet strength, kind heart, and steadfast devotion to her family and loved ones. Her life was marked by grace, humility, and genuine care for others. She touched the hearts of many, and her absence will be deeply felt.
Her surviving family includes one aunt, Patty Imel of Madison, Indiana; several cousins, including Laura and Lee Denning, Kim Imel, Rick and Marilyn Imel, and Rodney Imel, all of Madison; Gladys and William Duncan of Carrollton, Angela Walker of Richmond, Kentucky, Crystal Taylor of Carrollton, Loretto Collum and Russ Tingler, both of Bedford, and Donna and JR Welch of Carrollton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one aunt, Doris Callihan; and two uncles: Keith and Dale Taylor.
The Reverend Joe Kendall will conduct the memorial services.
