James F. Loomis,76, of Milwaukee, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023 at his home surrounded by family.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown with Fr. Vincent Brewer officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Watertown. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. James Franklin Loomis was born on October 12, 1946 to Franklin and Eleanore (Worzella) Loomis in Milwaukee. He graduated from Auburn High School. On May 4, 1995 he married Bambi Weber in Milwaukee.
Jim was employed with the Milwaukee County Transit System for 30 years. He was an excellent pool player and liked classic cars. Jim was a loving father and husband.
Jim is survived by his wife Bambi Loomis of Milwaukee; three children: Carrie (Mark) Jonen of Cudahy, Michael (Nicky) Loomis of Greenfield, Jackie Loomis of Milwaukee; three step-children: Christopher (Jennifer) Byrnes of Florida, Brandon Byrnes of Milwaukee, Katrina (Todd) Thompson of Illinois; grandchildren: Brittany, Abbie, Kali, Bobby, Jordan, Nathan, Davina, Eralyn; step-grandchildren: Victor, Antonio, Niko; great-grandchildren: Faith, Brooke, Alaina, Gianna; siblings: Margie (Jerry) Fierie of Florida, Jane (Ron) Buss of Illinois, Christine (Wayne) Maddox of Milwaukee, Christopher (Carne) Loomis of Georgia; as well as other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Mike Loomis.
