James R. Magee, 85 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away at home on Wednesday February 14th, 2024. James was born in the Bronx, NY and has resided in Little Egg Harbor, NJ for 25 years. James was a Communicant of St. Mary of the Pines Church and a previous member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed painting and spending time with his family.
James is predeceased by his parents Patrick and Bridget Magee, his first wife Alice Magee and his sisters Patricia Skibenewski, Bridget Farrell, and Helen Dougherty.
James is survived by his beloved wife of 15 years Elizabeth Marsh, children Deborah Sheridan of Whiting, NJ, Dennis Magee and wife Heidi of Barnegat, NJ, Daniel Magee and wife Deborah of Fairview, TX and James Magee Jr. of Whiting, NJ, brother Hugh Magee of Barnegat, NJ, grandchildren Brian, Kevin, Danielle, Christine, Kathleen, Matthew, Katherine, Mitchell and Sarah, great-grandchildren Kaelyn, Declan, Connor, Isabella, Chase, Ellie, Alyssa, Bridget, Janelle and Charles, step-daughter Melissa Lawlor and husband Jason of Freehold, NJ and step-grandsons Quinn and Reilly.
Visitation will be held on Sunday February 18th, 2024 from 3-6pm and again on Monday February 19th, 2024 from 9:15-10:15am at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Rd. Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary of the Pines Church 100 Bishop Way Manahawkin, NJ 08050 at 11am on Monday February 19th, 2024. Cremation will be private, and an interment of ashes will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery at a later date.
