Norman "Don" Magee, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on Friday, July 23, 1937, Norman lived a full and meaningful life in Bloomfield, Missouri.
Norman graduated along with his 1955 class from Bloomfield, Missouri. His professional life was defined by his long-standing career as a sales manager at Weithop, where he was respected for his dedication and work ethic.
Beyond his career, Norman's heart belonged to the farm. He found great joy and solace in the fields, tending to his cattle and horses—a passion that spoke to his deep connection with the land and its creatures.
Norman is survived by his devoted wife, Vertaree G. (Phillips) Magee who he married on January 13th, 1956. He is also survived by his beloved daughter, Melissa D. Mangels and son in law Jeffery.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Norman I. Magee and Blanche C. Magee, who undoubtedly welcomed him into their arms. Along with two sisters, Carol Vandiver and Elaine Choate.
In accordance with Norman's wishes, a private gathering to celebrate his life will be held at a later date. His family will cherish their memories and ask those who think of him to remember fond times spent together.
