James "Casey" Mailahn

James "Casey" Mailahn, age 75, of Camden, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at his home. He was born November 27, 1949 in Angola, IN to James Mailahn and Frances "Juanita" (Demorest) Hewitt.

Casey graduated from Camden Frontier Schools and went on to enlist in the US Army where he served in Vietnam. Casey loved going on Hot Rod Tours as well as riding his Harley and hanging out with "the boys." He also had a passion for collecting classic cars.

Survivors include his three daughters, Stephanie (Shane) Lockwood, Jennifer (Dave) Santure and Becky Mailahn; longtime companion and housemate, Bev Hicksenhiser; grandchildren, Isaac and Alec Dahlstrom, Gina, Dawson, Jaida, Maggie and Aiden Santure and Olivia (Logan) Costie; great-grandchildren, Carson, Paislee, Genesis, Ezra and Oakleigh; mother of his children, Connie (Clevenger) Mailahn; sisters, Raedene Mailahn Stewart and Liz (Gary) Churchwell; brothers, Brad (Deb) Mailahn, Michael (Amy) Mailahn and Troy (Heather) Hewitt; and many nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Georgia Mailahn, Dana Robinstine, Kenny Mailahn and Francis Mailahn.

A graveside service for Casey Mailahn will be held on Wednesday September 10, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Camden Cemetery with Military Honors. Arrangements are entrusted to the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Reading.
