Ed was born in Princeton, West Virginia, to the late James Conrad Mallory and Ema Bratton Mallory. He was a devoted member of First United Methodist Church of Franklin.
He is survived by his children wife of 60 years, Elizabeth Carole Watson Mallory; children, Steve Mallory (Rebecca Hope) of Greenville, TN, and John Edward Mallory (Jenni) of Lawrenceville, GA; and sister Margery Jo Baldwin of Richmond, KY; four grandchildren, Jordon Mallory (Rachael) of Alexandria, VA, LilliBeth Mallory, Anna Mallory, and Eva Mallory all of Lawrenceville, GA.
Complete services will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Macon County 4 H, the Appalachian Animal Rescue, PO Box 81, Franklin, NC 28744, or Noah's Ark Humane Society, 1239 Old Murphy Road, Franklin, NC 28734.

Macon funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.
