Cedar Park, TX 78613James Michael McBride died peacefully on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, in Austin, TX at the age of 72.
James was born on February 13, 1951, in Austin, Texas, and was the 6th child of Jack and Mildred McBride. After attending St. Edwards, James entered the Army and served in the Artillery in Southern Germany. After moving back to Austin and leaving the Army, James went to work for his father's business, McBrides Guns and Sporting Goods. In his free time, he enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, searching for arrowheads and spending time with friends. James also loved watching the Catholic mass on television daily.
James is preceded in death by his father, Jack McBride; mother, Mildred Hoyt McBride; brothers Jeffrey McBride; and Johnny McBride; sisters Jaqui McBride; Judy McBride Woodyard; and Joyce McBride.
James is survived by his sisters Janice (Randall) Frizzell and Joan Hamilton; brothers Jay (Rhonda) McBride and Joe (Paula) McBride; sister-in-law Susan McBride; Daughter Jessica (Sidney) Davis; Granddaughter Sydni Brooke Davis; and countless nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at Cook-Walden Funeral Home at 6100 N Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX 78752 on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at 2:00PM.
