I will miss Jim so much. He was my neighbor down the street in Green Valley, Arizona. He and his wife Laura were such friendly people and I valued them as neighbors. Rest in peace my dear friend.

Chief McBride and I spent many hours watching and guarding the Lakeland Community College Day Care area. I always told him those were my favorite times.

He told me don't eat the Nora Joseph cream of mushroom soup at the efopee Christmas party. Those are yard mushrooms. And it's not cream.

I asked him if he liked my self-defecating humor. He said depends, it really stinks.

He loved visiting me in Coventry. He used to come in the back of my garden and fertilize my rosebud then give me an angel pin. I have a few hundred of them.

I met Chief McBride when I was a policeman in Waite Hill. We used to meet on midnight shift and look at school photos on line. He sure had a good eye for new talent for the PD.

His poetry helped when my dad became a patrolman then a sergeant then back to patrolman. Now he's a bent over old man picking up sticks in his yard and roping off the lawn mushrooms with crime scene tape. Please send my dad an angel pin.

It's Thanksgiving and I miss you grandpa. I remember blowing stuffing all over my bedroom walls and dad cleaned it off with Kaboom. I don't think he cared. He sold the house and the new owner doesn't know what I did. Will someone tell them? Happy Thanksgiving grandpa and may Jesus give you blessings forever.

When I needed a poetry book he would deliver his package to my malebox and hold the door open with an angel pin until he completed the delivery.
May Joseph and Norah welcome you into heaven with Jesus.

Chief Jim and I first met at a Police Chief Conference many years ago. Besides both of us being Chiefs, we also shared a great love of winter! I remember many fun times going SKIING with Jim at the Metro parks with our friend Daniel Crown. What fun! We were always glad we all came. Rest in peace Chief. May the Lord bless you with his bounty.

I met Jim at Yours Truly in Mentor via Tom Fracci (who went home years ago on my birthday). we occasionally chatted while eating, and spent some time on the firing range. I wish his family prayers and if anything is needed from his wife or family, let me know directly or through YT

He handled all the different situations at Lakeland well during his 28 years. Such as the Streakers, Mooners, Walnut tree rustling, political speakers and when Professor John Kessler (a former paratrooper) parachuted onto the Lakeland campus during Memorial Day. I can still hear his Bagpipes and poetry.

When James moved into the neighborhood where I lived he was very friendly. He befriended me with his kindness.
He had no other motive other than to be a friend and to help in any way he could. James was always giving spiritual encouragement on the internet. May God take good care of you James. RIP, neighbor Stephen Rae

Chief McBride was one of my favorite people and one of the kindest I have ever met. I saw him regularly at the Crime Clinic lunches, and when that group broke up, we kept in touch by email. We all know how much he missed his daughter, Shannon, and it should lift a weight off our hearts to know they are now together again. Go mbeannaí Dia é.
