James McCay Obituary

Born April 8, 1949, in Ashland, Kansas, he was the only surviving son of James Myron and Patrice Dean McCay.
Art graduated from Coldwater, Kansas high school in 1967 and attended Wichita State University.
He was drafted into the Army in June, of 1969 and served in the HHB3rd Armored Divisions Signal Corp., stationed in Frankfurt, Germany. He was honorably discharged from duty in June of 1971.
He married Bernadette Redetzke on July 17, 1971. They moved to Colorado Springs and started their family.
Art worked for the DRMO at Fort Carson for 24 years.
Art enjoyed softball, soccer, darts, camping, cards, target shooting and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Bernie; children, Nicole, Erin, Courtney Martinez and Megan Szatkowski; 16 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
