I served with Jim on the Calhoun. We spent a lot of time in Control; he was the Dive and I was the Chief of the Watch. He taught me a lot and was a good leader and friend. He shall be missed.

I knew and remembered Jim from my days on the USS John C. Calhoun (SSBN 630), Gold Crew. Jim was a good man and was always the talk of the boat. I learned and respected Jim and have thought of him often all these years later. Rest in peace, Shipmate.
