I worked with Jim in the US Attorney´s office. He was smart and inevitably pleasant, always cheerful even at grim times. He was a valued colleague and friend

Jim was an outstanding lawyer when an Assistant United States Attorney and thereafter in private practice. A great friend and a heck of a touch football player on Sunday mornings way back when. Rest in Peace, my friend.

Jim´s life was a gift to all he knew. He´s was a leader and outstanding Assistant US Attorney and a great lawyer representing his clients in private practice. He cared deeply-a wonderful person. I miss him already.

It was my privilege to know Jim McGurk for more than 50 years. He was a truly fine person, lawyer and friend to all. He loved and revered Peggy and his extended family. Jim will be missed by all who knew him.

So sad to hear about Jim's passing. I tried cases against Jim in federal court. He was a fine attorney but more importantly just a class act and frankly fun to be around. A great loss and may he rest in peace. My condolences to his family.

Dear Peggy and the McGurk family:
I was saddened to learn about Jim’s passing. I have vivid and fond memories of Jim’s smile, laugh and quick wit. He was front and center when we lost Dennis and his assistance was appreciated. My deepest condolences to you and your family for his loss. May your memories of Jim bring you peace and joy.
