Funeral Services for Navy Chief James O. McKeithen, 87, of Farmerville, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 3, 2023, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA, with Rev. Kurt Auger officiating. Interment will be in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA. Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until service time on Tuesday.
Mr. McKeithen was born December 7, 1935, in Shreveport, LA, and died December 30, 2022, at St. Francis Specialty Care Hospital in Monroe, LA.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Farmerville and Darbonne Country Club, where he enjoyed playing golf with his friends. He was a retired Navy Chief in the United States Navy serving from 1955 to 1975. He was a member of the VFW Post #5442.
He was preceded in death by his special grandson, Jamie Mims; and sister, Lillian LeBlanc.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Johnnye N. McKeithen; daughters, Dianne Allen (Brett) and Pam Anders (Billy); grandsons, Jason Mims, Jeffery Giovingo, and Will Anders; great grandchildren, Abby Grace, Jenson, Callan, McKenzie, and Grayson; siblings, John Reitzell (June), David McKeithen (Linda), and Margaret Byrd (Henry); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will Billy Anders, Jason Mims, Grayson Mims, Jeffery Giovingo, Will Anders, and Wayne Cunningham.
Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the VFW Post #5442.
Memorials may be made to the VFW Post #5442.
