James McLaughlin Obituary
Jim was a devout member of the Church of Saint Mary, where his funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 21st, 2024, at 11:00 am. Known for his mild manner and likable nature, Jim was not just a good listener but also a passionate sports enthusiast. He played division #1 basketball at Duquesne University receiving a full 4-year athletic scholarship in Pittsburgh. Reveling in the game and supporting his favorite teams: the Mets, Knicks, and Giants. Jim also enjoyed a good game of basketball, a cold Bud, and cherished moments reading or indulging in his favorite candies.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Peggy (Trainor) McLaughlin, his daughters Amy McLaughlin and Jennifer Alati, along with her husband Sergio, and his cherished grandchildren, Jules and James. Jim was preceded in death by his siblings, Robert McLaughlin and Margaret Hyatt.
Jim's life and legacy will be remembered by all who knew him as a true "guy's guy," whose presence enriched the lives around him.

I´m sitting here with my parents, George and Pat Henry and we just heard the news of Jim´s passing. They are so sad to hear the news and send their best to you and your family. I´ve never met Jim but I´ve heard so many wonderful stories. May he rest in peace.

I was very sorry to hear of Jim's passing. Jim was my manager years ago when I worked at Steelcase. He was a great person to work with and I will never forget the positive impact he had on my life and career.

So sorry to hear of Jim´s passing. I worked with Jim while at ADP and he was my Steelcase contact. He was always a pleasure to work with.
When my wife, Lydia and I wanted to move to Rutherford, he put us in touch with you who sold us our home on Carmita Ave. in 1992.
I would see Jim at Park Ave Bagel a number of times after he retired. He was a great guy and you were a great couple and family.
