Mr. James Harvis McLean was born on April 6, 1956 to the late James A. McLean and Gladys Fladger McLean in Rowland NC. He depart this earthly life on January 11, 2025 peaceful while in his home surrounded by his loving family and friends. James Harvis, " Rock" as so many called him, received his formal education from the public schools of Robeson County. During Rock's years of employment he performed many job. One of the first places of employment was with Bridges Exxon Service Station where he met his two best friends Charles and Arnom Bridgers and they remained friends until this day. Rock also was employed for many years at Kyser Roth in Lumberton, NC. In his later years he became a Health Care giver to community elderly and disabled who needed help in the home. He was widely sought after for in-home care service because he took such good care of the clients. The one client he loved the most and was most honored being the care taker for, was his mother before her passing. He did it daily with a smile and with pride.
Rock was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Willie McNeill, and one sister Laura Helen Smith.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his children: Patrick Drake ( Unique) of Rowland, NC., Camille McCallum ( La Ron McNair) of Raleigh, NC, Nicholus McCallum ( Kira) of Hope Mills, NorthCarolina and one step son Antwain McCallum; Five Grandchildren Julia Drake, Jabrelyn McCallum, Cameron James McNair, Ryver McNair, Kree McCallum; Two sisters Katrine Vincent and Paula Hallman ( Tyrone) both of Rowland, NC. Two brothers Jasper McLean and Michael McLean both of the home. Two Aunts Elouise McCormick ( Benny) of Lumberton, NC and Shirley Smith ( John ) of Rowland, NC. One special niece Gladys Vincent and his Good buddy Kyrion McInnis; Along with a host of other nieces and nephews ( which he had a special bond with), cousins and friends.
