James Edwin McMurry

James Edwin McMurry, age 76 of Shelby, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 21, 2021.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lois Lorena Horne McMurry of the home, his children, Dawn Moore (Bobby) of Mooresboro, NC, and Dana Bradshaw (Nathan) of Shelby, NC, 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, a brother, Dale McMurry of Lawndale, two sisters, Carolyn Hamrick of Lawndale, NC, and Diann Langley of Lawndale, NC, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Born March 17, 1945 in Cleveland County, NC, James was the son of the late Sidney McMurry and Clara Lee McNeely McMurry and was preceded in death by his son, James McMurry, a grandson, B.J. Shepard, a sister, Nancy Patterson.
Mr. McMurry was Past Master Mason for several terms for Camp Call Lodge #534 in Polkville and was extremely dedicated to what he believed in.
Funeral services will be held 2pm Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Cleveland Funeral Service Chapel conducted by Dr. Bulo Ervin Price. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Rehobeth United Methodist Church cemetery.
