James McNutt Obituary
1945 - 2021
James E. McNutt sadly passed away on Sunday, May 30. He leaves behind a sister-in-law, Mary Louise McNutt; a nephew, Lawrence C. McNutt; a niece, Amanda J. (David) Powell; a grand-niece, Daphne M. Powell; and grand-nephew, August J. Powell. He was preceded in death by his parents Guy C. McNutt and Leah E. (Pinkerton) McNutt, and brothers Guy C. McNutt, Jr. and Lawrence P. McNutt. Jim enjoyed the time he spent with his family and many friends, especially those at the Columbus Red Men Lodge #128 and the North High School Alumni gatherings. Following his graduation from The Ohio State University, he became employed there in an accounting position where he assisted students. He was an avid OSU fan, attending countless games over the course of his life. Jim also enjoyed traveling west to the Dakotas and further where he visited friends and researched his Native American heritage. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him. Friends and family may call from 12-2pm Thursday, June 10, 2021 at RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME, 2383 North High St., Columbus, OH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Red Cloud Indian School, Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, 100 Mission Dr., Pine Ridge, SD 57770 or at www.redcloudschool.org.
