James E. McVane

James E. McVane passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 10, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on November 25, 1956, James lived a life marked by kindness, honor, and a deep commitment to those he loved.

James found joy in the outdoors and cherished the time spent hunting and fishing with friends and family. He valued these moments, not only for the pursuit, but for the camaraderie and connection they fostered. Above all, James treasured his family, making every gathering a celebration of love and togetherness.

James is survived by his loving wife, Jana McVane; his children, daughter Nicole (Justin) Wied, son Michael (Alison) McVane, daughter Chelsea McVane (Ross Krzewina), and daughter Jessica Zdroik (Matt Holman); his grandchildren, Isaah McVane, Aaliyah McVane, Braden McVane, Hank Arndt, Aiva Krzewina, Jackson Krzewina, Natalee Diehlmann, and Scarlett Diehlmann. He is also survived by his sister and brother, Barb (Larry) Jarosinski and Barry (Deb) McVane, his dog, Riley, and a host of extended family and close friends. James was preceded in death by his parents.

Family and friends may visit on March 2, 2026 from 10:00-11:00 am at Gaffney-Busha Funeral Home, Inc. in Eagle River WI. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 am.
