James Donald Meseke, 54, of St. Charles, IL passed away Monday, January 27, 2025, at Delnor Community Hospital in Geneva, IL. He was born July 31, 1970, in Livingston, NJ, the son of Donald and Maria (nee Onufrak) Meseke. He was united in marriage to Sally Samaan May 11, 2002, in Homer Glen, IL.
Jim graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a professional degree in Architecture. During his time at the University, he spent 5 years playing NCAA Division 1 Soccer. Along with his love of soccer, Jim spent many years playing Rugby. He spent 20+ years in the architectural design industry. His latest role was Vice President of Global Content Services at ENGworks Global. Jim maintained his love of soccer throughout his life, both as a player and spectator. He was a man of faith. A devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He loved watching his children play travel sports and enjoyed being with family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sally Meseke; three children, Alexander, Sophia and Monica; his mother Maria Meseke; two brothers, David (Liz) Meseke and John Meseke; two brothers-in-law, John (Cicely) Samaan, Peter (Maria) Samaan, and a sister-in-law Christine (Frank) Calistro, and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father Donald William Meseke.
Visitation will be held 9:30 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. Saturday, February 1, 2025, in the narthex at Annunciation of the Mother of God Byzantine Catholic Church, 14610 South Will Cook Road, Homer Glen, IL. The Rites of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at 10:30 A.M. Final resting place to be held at Prairie Cemetery, 6N655 Crane Road, Saint Charles, IL.
