James M. Michaud, 74
October 18, 1950 – May 5, 2025
Salem- James M. Michaud, 74, of Salem, passed away Monday, May 5, 2025 at his home in Salem. He was the son of the late Charles "Vic" and Virginia (Hurley) Michaud.
Born in Salem, Jim was a graduate of Salem High School and of North Shore Community College. Jim served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. Returning home, Jim started his own business, the Michaud Auto School which he owned for 28 years while also serving as a driving instructor for the company.
Jimmy loved to fish, he had an entrepreneurial business mind. He was a great piano player, guitar and drum musician. He loved his family and friends and was a great storyteller.
He is survived by his siblings, Maureen Friel and her husband David of Tyngsboro, Charles V. Michaud of Salem, Kevin Michaud and his wife Jill of Danvers, and Tom Michaud of Salem and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 from 4-7 p.m. in the Berube & Sons Funeral Home, 191 Lafayette St. Salem. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society through .
