Mr. James Robert Miles, 68 born in Little Rock, Arkansas, on May 22nd, 1957, passed away being a 45 year resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado, on January 26, 2026. James is preceded in death by his parents Jesse James Miles and Kathryn Pauline (Weisle) Miles of Jacksonville, Arkansas. James is survived by his wife of 49 Years, Jan (Cothran) Miles of Colorado Springs, Colorado, His sister Diana Rush, her husband Scott of Yelm, Washington. Two nephews Jermery Mitchell, Brad Rush, and one niece Emily Lamphear. James had three children, Christina Pavel of Kennewick, Wa, James Robert Miles Jr. and his wife Kara Marcus of Colorado Springs, CO, and Irma Miles-Woodworth of Colorado Springs, CO. Blessed with six Grandchildren, Angline Pavel of Manchester, Ct, Alice Miles of Colorado Springs, CO, Miah Pavel of Kennewick, Wa, Diamond Montgomery and her husband Dillion Montogomery Of Odessa, Texas, Celena Woodworth of Colorado Springs, CO, and Lilliana Woodworth of Colorado Springs, CO. As well as two Great Grandchildren, Lilyth Pavel of Manchester, Ct and Dominic Woodworth of Colorado Springs, CO. James had a long time passion for Computer Science that turned into a career of 50 plus years ending with achieving a master's degree in Computer Science

James will be remembered for his vibrant personality. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to share his knowledge and experience he had. James's family is asking, in lieu of flowers, to make donations to the American Cancer Society.

A celebration of life will be held at his residence on May 22nd, 2026.
