With great sorrow, we announce the passing of James Edward Miscavage, Esquire, aged 70, of Pleasant Hills, on Sept. 4, 2025. He passed peacefully with his loving family by his side.
He is survived by Heidi, his wife of 40 years; and their daughter, Madeline, and her husband, Kenny Fox, and their son, Benjamin. He is also survived by his mother, Eleanor Gryziec Miscavage; his siblings, Edward Miscavage; Debra Javitt, and her husband, Edward Javitt; Michele Lepore, and her husband, Armand Lepore; and Michael Miscavage, and his wife, Kerry Miscavage; and by numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased in death by his father, Edward Stanley Miscavage.
James was born and raised in Wilkes-Barre, to Eleanor and Edward Miscavage, with his four siblings. He attended Pennsylvania State University and graduated with high honors in economics and accounting. He later received his Juris Doctor degree from Duquesne University School of Law. Shortly after graduation, he proudly established and maintained the Law Offices of James E. Miscavage in Pleasant Hills. For the past 40 years, James has served his community as a trusted lawyer. He was a member of the Pleasant Hills Rotary Club and generously supported local interests and businesses. In 1984, he married his loving wife, Heidi, and they raised two children together, Madeline and Benjamin. He shared many wonderful years in Pleasant Hills with his family; they were the love and passion of his life.
James, better known as Jimmy, had a deep appreciation for music and concerts. He admired a wide range of genres and found many peaceful evenings listening to newly found artists. He loved to travel, especially when it was in the company of his family, exploring new cultures and places. Jimmy also enjoyed golf, skiing, boating along the Monongahela River, long walks, and reading.
