James George Moga, age 96, of Minnesota City, MN, died November 27, 2024 at his home.
James was born April 20, 1928, in Winona, MN, the son of Ralph and Verna (Walski) Moga. He grew up in Dodge, Wisconsin, and was one of 7 children. James was united in marriage to Ester Oevering, and to this union 3 children were born, Randy, Dawn, and Jim. Ester preceded him in death. He was united in marriage to Karen Kindschy, and to this union 2 children were born, Roger and Patty. The couple later divorced. James was a milk hauler, and road construction worker.
He is survived by his children: Randy (Cindy) Moga, Dawn (Jim) Buege, Roger Moga, and Patty Whitebear; grandchildren Ashley (Levi) Moga Solland, Travis (Jaclyn) Buege, Chelsea (Marcus) Ziemer, and others; great grandchildren; sister, Irene Herman; special friend, Betty Gaulke, and her daughter, Karen.
James is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ester; son, Jim; and siblings: Frank, Gabriel, Raphael, Dorothy, and JoAnn.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Winona Hospice for the wonderful care they provided to James.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 11am at Hoff Celebration of Life Center in Winona, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Private interment will be held at later date.
As Jim would always say "Make sure you're careful on the steps and hold on to the railing, and Good luck, 1,000 %."
