Jasmine Katherine Brown, 27 of Winona, MN died Wednesday evening, October 22, 2025 by Dexter, Mower County, MN in an automobile accident after a lengthy battle with mental health.
Jasmine was born September 14, 1998 in Winona, MN to Dixie Leigh Brown and Jason Todd Scrogham. She attended and graduated from Winona Public Schools. Throughout the years, Jasmine worked at McDonald’s, KFC and Walmart. She then began working in healthcare and helping those with disabilities by working at Lake Winona Manor, Winona DAC and Legacies. She was working towards becoming a Doula and was just some paperwork away from completing it. Jasmine was a member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary.
On October 28, 2023, she married Seppe Steyvers in Winona, MN. Jasmine’s three children, Isabella, Izaya and Lilyana were her world. She did her best to care for them and even when she couldn’t, they were still her top priority.
Jasmine lived a full life in her short years on this earth, doing a lot of traveling to the Netherlands, Belgium, France and many places within the United States of America. Jasmine enjoyed online gaming where she was known as “Purple Panda Bear.”
She will be forever remembered by her three children, Isabella May Brown, Izaya Jay Brown and Lilyana Kay Brown; husband, Seppe Steyvers; mother, Dixie Leigh Brown; brother, Dakota Todd Brown; and uncle, Dean David Brown.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jason Todd Scrogham; infant sister, Kassidy Leigh Brown; and a baby boy that she lost during pregnancy. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Donnie Scrogham, Katherine Susan Frey, Ruth Elaine Every Brown and Melvin Walter Brown; and uncle, Larry Melvin Brown.
In lieu of flowers, cards and memorials may be directed to Dixie Brown, 8280 E Main Street, Stockton, MN 55987 for expenses being incurred. Thank you from the family. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery, Stockton, MN.
A Celebration of Jasmine’s life is being planned for Saturday, April 25, 2026 at the Stockton Community Center. More information will be posted as it becomes available online at www.hofffuneral.com.
