Four Oaks, NC: Mr. James Carroll Moore, age 88, of 1917 Juniper Church Road died Monday January 8, 2024 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Holly Grove Advent Christian Church in Benson. Officiating will be Revs. John Foister and Parlia Moore. Burial will follow in Juniper Church Cemetery, Four Oaks.
Mr. Moore was born on August 12, 1935 in Johnston County to the late Archie Britton and Lela Mae Wood Moore. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Brenda Ryals Moore; a son, Terry Lynn Moore; and wife, Gwendolyn Moore; sisters and brothers, Ruby Moore McLamb, Delilah Moore Barefoot, Vera Moore Webb, Myrtis Moore Jackson, Janice Moore McLamb, Clarence Moore, Ada Moore Barefoot, Alice Moore Barefoot, Addie Pearl Webb, and William Pinkney Moore. Mr. Moore worked for McLamb Oil Company, Keith Bond Oil Company, retired from Lowe’s Hardware Store and was a US Army Veteran. He was a member of Holly Grove Advent Christian Church.
Surviving are his children, Danny Moore and wife, Jamie of Meadow, Donna Moore of Meadow; granddaughter, Olivia Moore; great-granddaughter, Ava Mae Martin; brother, Parlia Moore and wife, Rosella; special niece, Rochelle Wood and husband, Allen; special friends, Barbara Bass, Carol Skilton, Donnie Autry, Cynthia Kunz and Nancy Ray; numerous nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends from 3:00PM to 5:00PM on Friday, January 12, 2024 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks, and other times at the home, 1917 Juniper Church Road, Four Oaks, NC 27524.
Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to Holly Grove Advent Christian Church, 2050 Holly Grove Road Benson, NC 27504.
