Clifford Lee Moore Sr.

The Life That He Lived…

Clifford Lee Moore, Sr. was born on May 30, 1954 to the late Bill Moore and Lillian Campbell-Moore in Screven, Ga. He was educated in Wayne County Training School and worked most of his life as a farm hand with Winton Harris. Clifford was never married; however, he spent 50 plus years with the mother of his children, Annie Ruth Simpson who was a devoted friend. In his free time Clifford enjoyed fishing.

On February 01, 2026 at River Brook Nursing Facility in Homerville, Ga., God saw that Clifford had grown tired of this old world and called him from labor to reward. He was preceded in death by both parents, Bill and Lillian Moore and his son, Samuel Lee Moore.

Those left to cherish his memory: his loving children, Brenda (Timothy) Tarber and Clifford L. Moore, Jr., both of Jesup, Ga. and Billy Moore of Screven, Ga.; his siblings, Geraldine Truitt-Booth, Gloria Jean (Mitch) Frazier, Glenda Moore and Bobbie Jean Moore; devoted mother of his children, Annie Ruth Simpson; (13) grandchildren; (6) great grandchildren; (2) favorite nieces, Peggy Moore and Delores Williams as well as a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.

There will NOT be a wake/viewing on Friday. However, remains will lie in state one hour prior to services from 10 am until 11 am on Saturday, February 07, 2026.

Services will be held @ 11:00 am at New Bethel Life Changing Ministries. 521 Brown Street, Screven, Ga. 31560.
