POLAND — James F. Morrison died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2026, at the age of 82.
He was born Sept. 26, 1943, in White Hills, Kentucky, a son of Scott Morrison and the former Gladys Hastings.
James served his country in the United States Air Force. After his service, he dedicated over 35 years to the railroad industry working as a pipefitter for CSX.
James is survived by his wife, the former Mary Davis; daughter, Malena (Rich) Bailey of Poland; son, Jimmy Morrison of Louisville, Kentucky; sister, Verna Reasor of Kentucky; brother, Henry Morrison of Kentucky; six grandchildren, Brent Duff, Jennifer Morrison, Selena Duff, Jet Bailey, Morgan Bailey and Brooke Bailey; and five great-grandchildren, Scarlett, Violet, Miles, Travaris and Hazel.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by two brothers, Barrett and Boyd Scott Morrison.
A funeral service will be celebrated 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026, at New Life Church, Poland. Calling hours will start at noon, one hour before the service.
