James J. Nelson

James J. Nelson, age 66 formerly of Arena, WI., passed away on December 10, 2025 due to complications of a stroke. Jim was born to Herbert and Edna (Heidrich) Nelson On January 12, 1959.
Jim lived his life the way he wanted, a little rough for most but right for him. His ability for mechanical work and fixing things with just a plyers and wrench and living off the land was one most people would find to be a challenge, he lived it everyday and enjoyed it.
Jim leaves behind his Children: Henry and Amber Stewart (Mazomanie), Milissa and Chuck Jones (Beloit) Rose Nelson and Husband Rob Hammond (Arena). Grandchildren: Ruby and Eli Stewart, Ava, Aydyn, and Dylan Jones, Blake Nelson (Arena).
Siblings: Pam (Avery)Lonetree, Herbert Jr. (Butch) Nelson, Dave Nelson, Sue (Rich) Walter, Rich (Jackie) Nelson, Mike (Cindy) Nelson and Terry Nelson. Many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nephews.
Along with his parents, Jim now joins his sister Bonnie Nelson and nephew Matt Baars in never ending happiness and sunshine.
Jim will be missed by many; especially, his best friend and travelling companion "Sparky", his Jack Russell Terrier.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Although he has left us, he will stay in our hearts forever.
