James Nelson Obituary
He is survived by his daughter Riley Harris (Keane), West Plains MO; his son Joey Nelson, Indianapolis IN; brother Robert Horstmeyer Jr, New London; sister Jolene Messina (Tony) Hannibal; Chad Nelson (Anna), New Haven MO; step dad Joe Ulry, Hannibal. Also there are several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceded in death by his mom Rose Mary (White) Ulry, father Donald Nelson, and sister Tina Horstmeyer.
JD loved video games, trivia and watching movies. With experience cooking in restaurants, he still enjoyed trying and sharing new recipes, especially anything to do with potatoes! He would work swap meets with his dad, sew biker patches and did artwork at carnivals and for some billboards in the area. JD was very tech savvy and helped others with their technology needs. Most of all, he will be remembered for his constant joking and making others smile.
Memorial contributions may be made to James O'Donnell Funeral Home for funeral expenses.
