James Owen Noel

James Owen Noel, 82, Copper Creek, Crab Orchard, KY, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Sunday, August 3rd, 2025. Survived by his wife, Helen, of 54 years. Owen was born in Marion County, Kentucky on September 30, 1942. He was the son of the late Clyde Ancel and Ruby Mae Raikes Noel. Owen was a brick mason by trade. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Creekside Baptist Church. To know Owen was to love him; he had a heart of gold and would help anyone he could. He loved listening to classic country music, piddling in his barn, woodworking, and taking rides through the backcountry. He was a talented musician, and opened up for concerts of Jerry Lee Lewis, Loretta Lynn, Peggy Sue, Lester Flatt & Earl Scruggs. He also made many guest appearances at Renfro Valley. Most importantly, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Noel, Randell Noel, and Guy Noel, and his sister, Mary Noel McGuire.

12 Great Grandchldren including Knoxx, Owen Rhett, Navy, Kollyns, and Lucy Tate, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and family friends.
Funeral Services will be 12:30 on Thursday, August 7, 2025 at McKnight Funeral Home Chapel at 147 Main Street, Crab Orchard, KY 40419
Bro. Rylee De Leon will officiate.
Burial will be in the McGuire Family Cemetery off of Copper Creek road.
Public Visitation will start at 5:30 PM on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at McKnight Funeral Home Chapel.
