James Wesley “Wes” Norris of Pittsboro, Indiana passed away November 12, 2025, at 76 years of age. He was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on November 15, 1948, to the late James Bernard and Billie Ernestine (Clark) Norris. Wes, as he was affectionately known as, was a Salesman of Commercial Trucks, working for numerous companies during his career. He loved anything with 4-wheels and an engine and was a walking encyclopedia of all vehicles and their workings and was most comfortable in his garage and could be found there on any given day. Wes loved auto racing, riding his bicycle, throwing darts, and playing ping-pong, and going to the Drive-In. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family and had an annual tradition of meeting his family on Thanksgiving for a meal at Eagle Creek Park for numerous years. Wes was extremely neat and orderly with most everything he did, everything having a place and he was very patriotic. He enjoyed dining out and especially enjoying meals at Rick’s Boatyard and Dawson’s on Main. He was extremely generous, almost to a fault and was always mindful of telling those he loved that he did love them, often, especially at the conclusion of their conversations. He is survived by his loving wife, Karla (Copley) Norris, his children, James Todd (Maria) Norris, Robert Kevin (Jennifer) Norris, David Cory (Audrey) Norris, Kristine Katherine (Sergio) Garcia, his grandchildren, Emma, Robert, Maci, Grant, Marshall, Carma, Cruz, Lucy, Ruby, Zoey, his sister, Libby Hurst, his brother, Mark Norris, his numerous cousins, extended family , and friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Mike Norris. Visitation will be held for Wes on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, 1:00pm-3:00pm at Flanner Buchanan Floral Park located at 425 N. Holt Road Indianapolis, Indiana with the Funeral Service immediately following at 3:00pm, there. Flanner Buchanan entrusted by the family with the cremation arrangements.
