Norma J. Bierman , age 94 of Brownsburg, IN (formerly Lincoln, IL) passed away October 30, 2025, at 4:23 a.m. at Brownsburg Meadows.
Norma was born February 19, 1931, in Lincoln, IL, the daughter of William and Louise (Reinert) Armstrong. She married Orin F. Bierman on February 11, 1961, and they were happily married for 51 years prior to his passing on August 20, 2012.
Norma is survived by her children, Amy Bierman Mace (David) of Brownsburg, IN and Jeffrey Bierman (Tracey) of Chesterfield, MO; grandchildren, Sarah Mace Buhrmester (Doug), Matthew Mace, Rachel Bierman Follmer (Danny), and Parker Bierman (fiancée Jordan); and great-grandsons, Elijah Kane Buhrmester and Rainer Ryan Follmer. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Orin; brother, Henry; baby granddaughter, Jennifer Ann Mace; and grandson, Ryan Bierman.
Norma graduated from Lincoln High School in 1949 and immediately began a 39-year career with Lincoln Savings and Loan (aka Olympic Federal Savings and Loan). Through the years she worked in various areas of the firm including teller, secretarial, bookkeeping, insurance, taxes, and mortgage loans. She was promoted to Mortgage Servicing Officer, a position she held for many years until her retirement in 1989.
Norma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who found great happiness in spending time with her family and friends. Through the years, she enjoyed cooking, camping, reading, and St. Louis Cardinals baseball. While living in Lincoln, IL, Norma was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
Services for Norma will be on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 11:00 am at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home in Lincoln, IL. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Eric MD Bell Funeral Home.
