James Ogle Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home - El Dorado Springs on Dec. 15, 2025.
James Joseph "Jim" Ogle, 84, passed away peacefully, surrounded by music, stories, and loved ones, on Friday, December 12, 2025. He was born on March 1, 1941, in Vernon County, Missouri, to Homer Ogle and Bertha Dunn.
Jim married his high school sweetheart, Wilma "Jeanie" McCullick, on September 6, 1959. Together they shared more than 65 years of marriage and built a life rooted in family, love, and commitment. They were blessed with three children: Michael Ray, James Dean, and Sheila Jean. Jeanie preceded Jim in death earlier this year on October 21, and he missed her dearly.
Jim spent many years working at Hallmark Cards, where he built a career he was proud of and formed lasting friendships. Although he officially retired, Jim never truly slowed down. He remained active and engaged until declining health eventually required him to step back, reflecting the strong work ethic and determination that defined his life.
A man deeply committed to his community, Jim volunteered with numerous civic organizations over the years, always willing to give his time and talents to help others. He loved the outdoors-hunting with friends, taking his grandchildren fishing, and sharing stories along the way. An avid cyclist, Jim enjoyed the freedom of the open road and had a lifelong appreciation for old cars and their craftsmanship. Above all, he cherished time spent with family and friends, especially his grandchildren, creating memories they will carry with them forever.
Jim is survived by his son, Mike (Michelle) Ogle; his daughter, Sheila Cline; his granddaughters, Devan and Jayde Ogle, and Kiera and Kinsey Cline; his grandson, Cody Webster; his great-grandchildren, Harper and Noah Jones, and Kaius Cline; and many extended family members.
Jeanie remained close to Jim in heart and memory after her passing. It brings comfort to know that he has now found peace and is reunited with the love of his life.
