With a soft spot in his heart for the children of his hometown, Beacon, NY, Jim spent countless hours volunteering to coach and organize youth sports during and long after his kids had outgrown their jerseys. Surrounded by team Pagliaro in his final days, this lifelong Mets fan was traded to the Angels on December 30, 2022, in South Carolina.
He is survived by his President of Family Operations (wife) Debra, long-time Sr. Advisor (father) John, Assistant Coaches (brothers & sisters in law) Michael & Bonnie and Ronald & Mary, and a five-child staff along with their five spouses in the bullpen (Aaron & Allyssa, Joel &Toni, Regina & Chris, Ryan & Molly and Angela & Quentin) and all of his grandchildren, nieces & nephews to cover the infield and outfield. In place of condolences or flowers, the family requests those able to donate should contribute to Beacon Junior Baseball in Jim's memory.
Along with sports, he lived the life of a volunteer as a member of the Knights of Columbus, the City of Beacon Fire, and numerous other community groups. Jim's professional life included owning and operating a successful business as a Certified Public Accountant.
Services will consist of an upcoming gathering in South Carolina and one in Beacon, at a later date. LGM

Jim was a fantastic baseball coach, administrator, example to community and friend. He helped to orchestrate rules changes in Beacon´s baseball leagues that enhanced everyone´s experience, made the league fairer, enhanced participation, and just made it more fun for all. He was always fair and always willing to help or lead. He worked tirelessly for the kids. He shall be missed.

When Frank and I opened a small luncheonette on Main St in Beacon (Madison's Place) We asked Jimmy if he would like a job with us. He said YES! and we knew we had a competent, loyal worker. He cooked . he served and he even did dishes and scooped many ice cream cones. one memory i will always remember is the day he was coming from the back carrying a hamburger he had just cooked ,only Frank was going into the back and no watching where he was going yup they collided , the burger went up in the air and jimmy watched it and maneuvered around enough that he caught it as
it came down . BUN< BURGER THEN THE TOP OF THE BUN JUST as if nothing had ever happened!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No one could believe it even he customers were amazed and that was talked about for a long time.....
