James John Pankauski, 63, of Harrington Park, NJ, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025. Beloved husband of Laura (née Spincken). Devoted father of Jonathan and Michael, and loving owner of his dog, Luna. Proud brother of John Pankauski. He is also survived by many cherished friends and relatives. He was predeceased by his parents, Alphonse and Sophie.

James was born in Salem, Massachusetts, and raised in Peabody, Massachusetts. He grew up spending summers at Salisbury Beach, where his family owned a small business that had long been part of the local community. After earning his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DDM) from Boston University, he took over his family's summer business at Salisbury Beach. After marrying Laura, they settled in Harrington Park, New Jersey, where they raised their two sons.

James was involved in the Harrington Park community and always willing to lend a hand. He volunteered countless hours coaching youth soccer and lacrosse and was a dedicated Boy Scout leader. An avid Boston sports fan, he rarely missed a game and loved sharing that passion with those around him. Later in life, he also found great joy in spending time at the dog park with Luna and the friends he made there.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, November 30, 2025 from 2-5 PM, at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 1, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Victories RC Church, Harrington Park, NJ. Interment will follow at Rockland Cemetery, Sparkill, NY.
