James received his GED from Hancock High School and went on to become a Sawyer at Northern Hardwoods where he worked for 43 years. He also worked on maintenance and had perfect attendance. He also worked at the local airport and loved his job. James met the love of his life; Fay and they were married in August of 1995.
James loved to go to the shooting range and go 4-wheeling. He was a member of the Keweenaw Sportsman's Club.
James is preceded in death by his parents Cassimero and Eleanor Perfetti, sisters Geraldine Lucchesi and Sharon Wanhala.
James is survived by his wife Fay Perfetti, daughter Amy, son Michael, sister Marlene 'Midge' (Howard) Perfetti, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is also survived by stepsons, Kevin, Craig (Gail), Shawn, and Corey (Carrie) Ongie. Step-grandchildren Olivia, Victoria, Trevor, Carli, Travis, Nicholas, James, and Jase Ongie. Step-greatgrandchildren Brant, Noah, Sky, and Beckham. He is also survived by two special friends John Jewell and Wes Aho.
A service for James Perfetti will be held at the Erickson-Crowley-Peterson Funeral Home in Calumet, Michigan at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, October 11th, 2023. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at Erickson-Crowley-Peterson in Calumet, Michigan on Wednesday, October 11th, 2023.
