James B. Perry

James Bruce Perry, 75 of 3570 Goose Hollow Road in Terrell County died Sunday, March 13, 2005 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. His funeral service will be held Tuesday (today), March 15, 2005, 4 PM at Byne Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Higgins officiating. Interment will be at Crown Hill Cemetery. A native of Sumter County, Mr. Perry had lived in Albany area for the past 63 years. He was a member of Byne Memorial Baptist Church for 63 years, a Deacon, and was a Sunday school teacher for the per- school class. He worked with Bails Oldsmobile for several years and in 1969 started his own business, Perry Paint and Body. He graduated from Albany High School in 1948 and server in the Georgia National Guard for 10 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, gardening and raising quail and loved his children and grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Laura Joyce Fowler Perry, two sons, James B. Perry, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Terrell County, Dr. Ronald R. Perry and his wife Janet of Albany, a daughter, Lisa Joy Perry Edmonds and her husband Stan of Terrell County, five grandchildren, Chad Auguish Perry and his wife Brook, Lauren Christine Perry, Luke Alden Perry, Trevor David Perry and Fowler Shae Edmonds, a brother, Allen Tyler Perry of Texas and a sister, Katie Mae Masterson of Reno, NA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the church.
