Mr. James Robert Pickelsimer, age 80, of Albany, passed away June 13, 2025, at his home. Robert grew up on a farm in Hampton, Georgia with his aunt Cora and siblings.
He worked as a mechanic for General Motors for 30 years before retiring. He enjoyed working outside in his yard, tending to his numerous plants and garden. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and going to church.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife Louise Pickelsimer, father Windom Pickelsimer, mother Dorothy Hollobaugh, sister Doris Davis, and brother Donald Pickelsimer "Donnie".
He is survived by daughter: Robin Smith (Joel); sons: Shane Pickelsimer and Todd Pickelsimer; grandchildren: Kristina, James, Anslee, Kaden, Trinity and Justus; also two great-grandchildren; sister: Gladys "Annie" Ciampaglia (Joseph); brothers: Glenn Pickelsimer (Clemmie), Wynn Pickelsimer (Marla), Ronald "Ronnie" Pickelsimer (Linda), Steven Porter and Steve Pickelsimer; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 16, 2025, at 3 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Moody officiating. Burial will follow in Moody Memorial Gardens.
Friends may visit the family on Monday, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., at the funeral home. ***Click here to view the service for Mr. Pickelsimer held on Monday, June 16, at 3 p.m.***
