James A. Plascak, age 56, of Medina, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Akron Summa Hospital.
He was born in Cleveland, grew up in North Ridgeville, he resided in Medina the past 17 years, after moving from Berea.
James was the Regional Superintendent for the Catholic Cemeteries Association where he had worked for the past 25 years.
Jim lived his life simply and with much grace. He loved life and took great pleasure in doing things he felt would bring joy to others with no expectations.
He enjoyed fishing, going for hikes, thrift shopping and taking care of his beloved dogs, Nelly and Frieda.
Survivors include his daughter, Samantha Hough of New Lexington, his father Andrew Plascak of LeRoy Twp., siblings, Kathleen (Marc) Cross of North Ridgeville, Timothy (Linda Debernardi) Plascak of Bonita Springs, Florida, Karin (John Alban) Lauer of LeRoy Twp., Kevin (Mary) Plascak of Fairview Park, nieces Heather Traxler, Alyson Plascak, nephews Kevin Plascak Jr. and Hunter Lauer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Teri Plascak and mother, Virginia Plascak.
The family will receive friends Monday Feb. 12, 2024 from 11:30 AM until time of services at 1:30 PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville. Rev. John Seabold will officiate. Private burial will take place later at All Saints Cemetery in Northfield.
Memorial contributions are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
