A celebration of Life will be held for James Chilton "JP" Porter, Jr. 69, of Hebron, on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at the Mill Dam Corner Grille, 3982 National Rd. SE, Hebron, 43025.
JP passed away suddenly on January 8, 2002 at his home. He was born July 16, 1952 in Columbus, the son of the late James Chilton and Freida (Workman) Porter Sr. He retired after over twenty years of services as an inspector at Midland Screw Manufacturing in Millersport.
JP never met a stranger. He enjoyed talking to everybody he met. A member of the Buckeye Lake Eagles and a former member of the VFW at Buckeye Lake, he enjoyed karoke and spending time with his friends at Mill Dam.
He is survived by his sons James (Alisha), Michael (Stephanie), Matthew and Chilton Porter; his grandchildren Emanuel, Lilli, Keegan, Emma, Juli, Ava, Levi (Samantha), Trinity, Nolan and Katie; his great granddaughter Jazlynn; his sisters Patsy King, Marion Lines, Sally Goff and Helen Marie Ballinger and his brother Junior (Brenda) Porter; along with many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Flossie Peyton, Lola McCormick and his brother Jackie Porter.
