James Marvin “Jimmy” Potter, 59. of Decatur passed from this earth Sunday, January 12th, 2025 in Justin, Texas.
Memorial Service is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 25th, 2025 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.
Jimmy was born September 8th, 1965 to James Donald and Linda (Stanford) Potter in Guin, Alabama. He attended some college after graduating High School. Jimmy was a roughneck in the oilfields for a while. He was a beloved son, father, grandfather, and friend to many who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Donald Potter.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Aaron Potter and wife Sheena of Decatur; his grandchildren, Adyn, Corban, Grace, Eleena, and Macee; his mother, Linda Potter of Decatur; extended family and a host of friends.
