James William Pratt Sr

James (Jim) Pratt, 71, of Berlin, MD, passed away Friday, February 27, 2026. He was born March 19, 1954, in Richmond, Virginia, son of the late William and Louise Pratt. He moved to Bethesda, Maryland at a young age and would go on to graduate from Walt Whitman High School, Class of 1972.

Upon high school graduation, Jim was employed by Safeway Stores until he ultimately moved over to the automobile industry where he would work for the next 40 years. This was truly his calling as he excelled in the sales side of the business for Dodge and Mercedes Benz.

He enjoyed riding his motorcycles, going to car shows including cruiser week in Ocean City, collecting guns & going to the gun range, and most of all spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his sister, Susan Pratt; his sister, Cynthia Peel; his sister, Martha Curry; his sister, Elisa Lane; and his brother, William Pratt. He is survived by his wife, Renae Pratt of Berlin; his son, Jim Pratt (Margaret) of Connecticut; his step son, Andy Koenig of Maryland; his sister, Charlotte Wilson (Dave) of Georgia; his sister, Kathleen Brosnan of Florida; his brother, John Pratt (Kristin) of Maryland; his sister, Jeanne Main (Jonathan) of Wisconsin; and his grandchildren: Harrison, Liam, and Katie.

Final care has been entrusted to Eastern Shore Cremation and Funeral Service of Berlin, MD.
