James H. Pressley, age 83, of North Knoxville went to be with the Lord on Wednesday August 20, 2025. Jim liked to smile and make new friends and walk in Adair Park for exercise. He also liked to watch western movies and UT sports and do small projects around the house. Jim retired from White Stores, H.T. Hackney Co., and Knoxville Optical. He was preceded in death by parents, James and Margaret Pressley; wife, Juanita Pressley; son, Jeffrey Pressley; and great-granddaughter, Chasity Geo Claire. He is survived by wife, Mary; daughters, Claire Morgan (Tim), and Jamie Phillips; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and brothers, Gerald and David Pressley (Brenda). The family will receive friends from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm Saturday August 23, 2025, at Rose Funeral & Cremation Broadway. A funeral service will follow at 12:30 pm with Rev. Mike Segers and Rev. Scott Jones officiating. Interment will follow in New Gray Cemetery. The family would like to offer special thanks to the staff of Sacred Ground Hospice for their loving care of Jim. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations can be made to Sacred Ground Hospice (1120 Dry Gap Pike, Knoxville, TN 37918). Jim was a dear sweet soul.I enjoyed walking with him at Adair Park and playing Softball with him at Caawell Park.
I will truly miss him greatly..
