Emma Jean Henry-Boyd, age 95, of Knoxville, TN, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at home, surrounded by her beloved granddaughters. Jean devoted her life to raising her seven sons and only daughter. She worked for 35 years as a recreational therapist at Lakeshore, where she eventually retired. Jean found joy in playing the piano and singing during church services on Sundays. She cherished time with her family, especially when they would come to visit. Some of her favorite memories included trips to the beach, visits to casinos, and relaxing outdoors on beautiful sunny days. Jean led a long and beautiful life, always ensuring her family was loved and well cared for. She will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and nurturing spirit. She is survived by her brother Doug, nephew Terry, granddaughters, Tina Glover and Robin Lanham; daughters-in-law, Georgie and Karen; grandsons, Scott Henry, Jason Henry, Mike Henry, Steve Henry, Daniel Henry, and Robby Henry; many great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. Jean was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Henry; the love of her life, Velky "Dee" Boyd; her sons, Ron, Doug, Michael, Johnny, Lance, Ted, and Fred Henry; and her daughter, Gale Glover. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Sunday August 10, 2025, at Rose Funeral & Cremation Broadway. The family and friends will gather at 12:45 pm Monday August 11, 2025, at Greenwood Cemetery for an 1:00 pm graveside service.
