James Thomas (Bud) Quinn passed away peacefully on April 18, 2025, in Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of 88. Born on July 16, 1936, in St. Louis, Missouri, Bud lived a life marked by deep faith, enduring love, and quiet strength.
Bud devoted his life to God, family, and church. He worked diligently as an elevator technician throughout his career, a steady and humble provider whose hands built not only elevators but a strong and loving life for those he cherished. At the age of 58, Bud retired early and enjoyed countless weekends at the Lake of the Ozarks, where he helped build his retirement home and spent many joyful hours on the golf course.
He was a man of exceptional devotion. Bud lovingly cared for his first wife, Barbara (Larkin) Quinn, through nearly two decades during her battle with Alzheimer's. Their marriage of 61 years was a testament to enduring love and commitment. Even when she could no longer speak, Bud remained faithfully by her side, attending to her every need with grace and compassion.
In a beautiful second chapter of love, Bud married Stella in 2020. Together, they shared five treasured years of companionship, laughter, and mutual care, proving once again that his heart knew how to love deeply and sincerely.
Bud's legacy is one of love, loyalty, and faith. He touched lives quietly (bahahaha) but profoundly and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Bud is survived by wife, Stella Gillen; his children Tim Quinn (Martina) and Trace Belew (Curt); son-in-law Mark Johnson; his seven grandchildren Patrick, Chenay, Michael, Matt, Nichole, Christopher, and Sean; his great-grandchildren Sierra, Payton, Jazmine, Kaylee, Alexis, Beckham, Colin, Owen, Jayden, Ashlynn, Rowan, Harlow, Elowen, and Jupiter; other relatives and many friends.
Bud was preceded in death by his daughter Kelle Johnson; his first wife Barbara Ann Larkin Quinn; his grandson Christopher; and his parents James and Charlotte Quinn.
Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, May 17, 2025,at Camdenton Bible Baptist Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hedges-Scott-Millard Funeral Homes, 1270 S Business Route 5, Camdenton, MO 65020 (573) 346-2090. Condolences may be left online for the family at www.hedgesscottmillard.com.
