James Rafferty Obituary
Jim retired from the United States Air Force after serving 25 years and receiving numerous medals and awards. Jim enjoyed going to the State Fair of Texas every year and having a corny dog. He was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan. He even had an article written about him and his "Cowboy's Room" in the Dallas Morning News, naming him the Dallas Cowboys #1 Fan. Jim also had a love for his dogs Sneakers and Max.
He was the brother to the late Mahayla Cullen and the late Alma Plumlee. Uncle to Sharon, Gary, Mark, and Craig.
Jim was a best friend for 35 years to the late Ann Rose and was survived by "Ann's Girls" Lisa Stout (David Tipton), Lori and Mike Alvarez, Leslie and Byron Johnson and their children Jay Rose, Meagan Stout, and Tyler Stout all from Texas.
He was also survived by family in New Jersey. Barbara Rafferty, children Jeffrey (Eileen) Rafferty, the late Christopher Rafferty, Jennifer Suarez, and Rebecca Rafferty. Grandfather to Matthew, Colin, Ashley, Isabella, and Sofia.
Friends and family are cordially invited to celebrate Jim's life in a visitation on December 6, 2023, at 10am at North Dallas Funeral Home followed by a Graveside service at 1:30pm at a Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.

i had the honor of caring for Jim and Ann .. both while on Hospice Care
I will miss my weekly conversation about the cowboys ... enjoy the the games from heaven jim with max and ann by your side !

Jim was among my first friends at JCPenney. Lots of laughter and learning in those early days. I´m so thankful to have had the opportunity to know him. Rest well Jim. I´ll see you on the other side.

We so enjoyed Jim and Ann! Loved going to Cowboy Shows and to Spring Training with them!!! So many good memories! You will be missed Jim Bob!!!
