James , Jerry, and Judy would come visit us at mamaw and papaw house just up the hill from aunt Callie house. Was always an exciting time. When James would come by, he had a big smile and a voice that made the walls vibrate. We had a family reunion at my farm a few years back. I hadn´t seen James in 30 years. He was the first to show up and I knew "immediately" who he was when he stepped out of his truck. We talked about me watching him play football in high school and him fishing later in life. Am so happy we got a chance to see each other again. When James entered the room, everybody knew he had arrived. LOL.....he was a one of a kind guy. A real man´s man. One you would want on your side! We wish all family and friends well wishes and healings.

James Ramo is my second cousin on his Mothers side.
I remember being a very young girl and looking up to this 6'3"ish 240lbish strapping huge guy and thought to myself, no one will ever physically hurt me in Life because I would call my cousin James in ETX. True Story.
As years went on, he was a Star Tackle, No. 70 for Spring Hill High School at Panther Stadium. My Papaw, his Uncle Alton would tell you, that boy, those two boys, can play some ball now, including his brother Jerry Ramo.
Fast forward we visited my Aunt Callies every Thanksgiving for years and years and we would watch the Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Redskins on Turkey Day, and he would explain the game to me.
James drove from Pittsburg, Tx to Lufkin, Tx one season to watch my son Billy play ball and have dinner before heading home.
Every early in December for years, James would ALWAYS call my Mother, his first cousin, to wish her a Merry Christmas and check on us four girls. He was usually calling from Louisiana or at times, was over seas working.
Fast forward, these pics were taken when his sister Judy carried me up to see him on the Lake at different times.
He will be missed by many!
Praying for Peace and Comfort during this difficult time, his work is done on Earth now, may he Rest In Peace
Love you James
