James Richardson JR Obituary
James Prentice Richardson JR was born August 31, 1951 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the union of his parents, James Richardson SR and Mary Evelyn Glasco Richardson and passed from this life June 2, 2024 at his residence. Jimmy was a God fearing man. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He served in the Army and then drove a truck for over forty years. Jimmy enjoyed drinking coffee and working in his garden. He loved his flowers and keeping his yard clean. Jimmy liked hunting and fishing but his greatest love was for the Lord.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Vance Hester and Bill Hester; sister, Carol Dickinson; and his honorary sister, Debbie Cummings. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of fifty-two years, Sheila Richardson; son, Mark Richardson (Jennifer); daughter, Krissie Ivy (Thad); sister, Kathy Poulin; grandchildren, Ashton Ivy, Luke Richardson, Callie Richardson, James Clark; sister-in-law, Betty Kitchens (Benny); nieces and nephews, Kelly Honea (Adam), Joe Knight, Keith Knight (Cindy); his good friends, Davey, Michelle, and Amelia Cummings; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
