James Edwin Richardson

Mr. James Edwin Richardson, 95, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away Monday, February 2, 2026.

James was born June 25, 1930 in Carroll County, Georgia, the son of the late Lloyd Edy Richardson and the late Mabel Stamps Richardson. He was in the United States Army and a graduate of Berry College. James worked at Southern Railway and then worked Pharmaceutical and Anesthesia Sales for Anaquest. Whether he was with his cows and chickens or on the golf course playing a round of golf with friends, he loved being outdoors. He had a gift of gab and was always telling jokes to friends and family. He was a Master Mason, a member of Latham Masonic Lodge #12 F&AM in Austell Lodge and a life time blood donor. James wanted to do his part making a difference in the world. What brought the most joy was spending time with his beloved family. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Villa Rica.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Jean Maxwell Richardson and grandson, Tyler Winn.

James is survived by his children and spouses, Cheryl Baskin of Carrollton, Lisa and Dave Millwee of Menifee, CA, grandchildren, Brooke (Jason) Hester, Courtney Baskin, Tera (Jeff) Stimson, great grandchildren, Riley Amos, Lexie Amos, Ethan Stimson, Daniel and Hayley Garner and Weston Stimson.

The family will receive friends, Friday, February 6, 2026 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at J. Collins Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be conducted Friday, February 6, 2026 at 12:00 PM from the Chapel of J. Collins Funeral Home with Mister Gary Thomas officiating.

Interment will follow for immediate family only in Mozley Memorial Gardens in Lithia Springs with Rodney Baskin, Daniel Garner, Johnny Blankenship, serving as pallbearers.
