James D. Roberts

James D. Roberts, age 60, of Sulligent, AL, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at his residence. Memorial services will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2025 at 2:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel. Burial of cremains will be in the Prospects Cemetery. Bro. Tom Ward to officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the memorial service from 1:00pm until 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to local charities. James was born on February 8, 1965 in Vernon, AL to Dwayne Roberts and Lissie Catherine Egger Roberts. He was a 1983 graduate of Sulligent High School and later received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Alabama-Birmingham. James was employed at Walmart for several years. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, working with flowers, and was an avid Alabama Football fan. He was such a kind a humble person, always giving to different charities and truly loved people. James was a member of Crews Community Church. His generous heart and loving spirit will always be cherished and greatly missed.
